SLAPPED Records On The Road rolls on, and stop five finds us touching down in Miami — the city that never sleeps on a good beat. We are overjoyed to be welcomed into Sable, a precious open-air space that is crafted with care & precision. Coming in from London is Made By Pete, an artist whose music speaks for itself. A pillar of Crosstown Rebels and founder of his own imprint Life In Colour, Pete has spent the better part of two decades building a sound that moves between the emotional and the euphoric. His 2023 single 'Horizon Red' has become a modern touchstone. He arrives in Miami in the midst of the rollout of his debut album which has us truly at the edge of our seats. SLAPPED is proud to welcome him. SLAPPED label head Mitch Oliver holds it down with the kind of set that reminds you why you fell in love with this music in the first place – deep, sultry, melodic tunes with a penchant for turning heads. Miami's own Mary Jane brings the home crowd energy — a producer, DJ, singer and songwriter who's carved out her own lane blending Indie Dance, Deep House, Acid, and Synthwave into something entirely her own. From Burning Man to House of Yes, her sound travels. With a BBC Radio Essential track under her belt and a Beatport Top 100 placement to her name, she's proof that Miami's scene is very much alive and in good hands.
